Wow, you're really making a name for yourself. Congratulations. Hope you're actually doing as well as it seems like you're doing.

Take care.

Hey Joules. Got a chance to listen to your art, and I must say, and I know you don't need to hear it from me, but you have Talent. Keep on keeping on, and live the dream. Live the dream.

Your Friend,

Hello--I was just checking in to see how you're doing at the moment. It's been ages since I've seen you around Seattle. I was also wondering if you have a Myspace page, as I'm interested in sharing songs (via audio files) with other musicians, esp. here in the Northwest. I'll add your page if you have one! Mine is at www.myspace.com/karenthelairmistress .

Sigh- I can't gush enough love and appreciation for the music you've been sharing with us for all these years. Imagine a huge love ball that reaches from my heart to yours, then make it 10x bigger because mine is joining up with everybody elses.
I saw you play some shows at Humboldt State in 00,01,02
At my favorite one, a hundred or so of us had been quietly sitting against the walls or in small groups in the center of the random multi-purpose room for about an hour before you came in. in a collective daze, we all simply turned our heads and watched you play. It wasn't until you (apparently surprised) reminded us that we "can get up off that floor!" that everybody clicked as one, lead by you. I remember thinking, "Holy Shit! That's Joules!" and grabbing the nearest people and getting our dance on.

A testament to your bewitching music: for the second time I must replace Plunge, Waterfall Child, Sacred Tantrum, and (first time) People of the Earth Tribe because ex-girlfriends refuse to give them back. Out of all my cds dvds books, two women have cherry-picked your music as unpartable. I wish I could blame them, but ...

Dear Joules Graves,

I was given 3 albums of yours in 2001 at a festival. Those three cds are special and I want you to know that the cds were the only reason why I went to that festival. I look back and I still get chills to your songs because when you bring songs with you through time, it is amazing. I still have never seen you perform in person...I live on the east coast.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you for soothing our souls, warming our hearts, and simply making us smile.

Thank you,

Amy G.

Sacred Tantrum, Waterfall Child and Plunge were the cds.

I saw you at herbal faire years ago and felt the warmth in my heart pour forth. I cried, I released, I healed while listening to your music. Now I sing your songs around campfires with my fellow pagan community and fondly remember your presence and trying to buy a cd off of you when you had none. For years I have just been singing along and now I FINALLY found your website and can purchase your music. Thank you for everything you have done and will do. You are truly a source of inspiration.

Sure glad your back in the music. The tribute album was great, but I'm sure looking forward to seeing you perform again in person, and to hearing some new songs. You're a warrior, girl, and I knew that that MS wasn't going to keep you down. You are such a blessing to our community. Love

Though we've never met, your songs live deep in my soul. Your songs were taught to me by a sacred sister friend, and now I teach them to others. I just want you to know your music continues to spread like wildfire and sets our souls afire. Thank you for bringing the inside out. Blessings on your journey. May the Big Island nurture and heal you like only She can.

Every time I think of Horning's Hideout, I think of "A Sacred Tantrum."

Every time I think of the sexual politics of breasts, I think of "Nipplephobia."

Every time I go to Shanachie's Pub, I think of you drumming, strumming, singing, and reweaving the heart of the World.

Welcome back. Wish I could get this body to Maui this weekend. Come see us in Berkeley / San Francisco on your way... "back?" xoxo rachel

January 19, 2008

Welcome back Joules. I have been sending you healing energy and will always have a fond loving energy going your way, in hopes of seeing you return to the music scene.
Your music, your performances are direly needed to strengthen those disillusioned and disempowered by the promise of a never ending war. We need to unite, stand strong and tall, and simply, Just say no to war. By default we are saying yes to peace, joy, and love-everyones birthright.
First and foremost, take very good care of your body, keep her strong, rested, and well nourished. May the Goddess lighten your path, each step as you walk mamma earth and spread HER song.
Blessings to you and yours always.

Hi Joules,
You don't know me but I've been a big fan of yours for 11? years now - ever since I saw you at the Willamette Folk Festival at the U of O campus in Eugene, back in 1996 or 1997? I just wanted to let you know that you have touched my and my family's lives in so many wonderful positive ways. It's not just your music and lyrics - which are awesome, but it's your whole being, your positive life force which shines through every single time we've seen you perform. I live near Eugene and have seen you many times, whenever you come our way. Since then my whole family has become big fans of yours, especially my 6 year old son, who loves "From the Core" because of how much he loves volcanoes. We rock out to your Cds often together. I just wanted to let you know how much we all appreciate you and truly love watching and listening to you perform. Your spirit is infectious and touches us so much whenever we see you. For instance, I remember seeing you shortly after 9/11/01, at the Eugene Celebration, after we were stuck in hotels for 4 days, because we were flying when it happened and they landed all the planes in the country. After we finally made it home, and we saw you and saw how positive and loving you are, even after such a terrible disaster, i just knew i could probably deal with just about anything. I almost lost my brother, who worked at the World Trade Center, but thankfully he was on his honeymoon, the reason for our trip back there. After learning about your MS and still seeing how positive and inspiring you are, it has truly touched me. I have survived cancer, and really, listening to your music really has helped me through it. While it was not life threatening, it was still very difficult at times. So, i just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for you and all that you do for the world and the joy and hope you bring to me and my family. You make me believe we can change the world! I hope to see in the Eugene area soon - we miss you! Are you playing the Country Fair this year?
Sincerely,
Laura
